We’re looking for a dynamic and technically skilled leader to join our Works Depot team, taking the lead in managing and inspiring our civil works personnel. In this role, you’ll oversee road maintenance, facility and concrete works, and stormwater infrastructure while ensuring high standards and compliance with civil engineering regulations. You’ll play a key part in shaping projects, developing staff through hands-on training, and acting as a senior leader when required, including after-hours on-call duties. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and resourceful—someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, drives results, and helps maintain a safe, professional, and high-performing team.
Applications are invited and will be considered until the position is successfully filled.

You have a current MR Class License and a solid foundation across a broad range of civil works, including earthworks, road and stormwater maintenance, concrete and landscaping projects, and operation of civil and maintenance machinery. You are proactive, organised, and adept at managing competing priorities while contributing to both operational delivery and strategic planning. With excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and proficiency in MS Office and basic IT systems, you are committed to workplace safety, Council’s Code of Conduct, and delivering positive, tangible outcomes for the community. Your adaptability, hands-on experience, and dedication make you a key driver in maintaining and enhancing Council’s civil infrastructure.
