Job Description
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking an organised and motivated individual who is interested in developing a career in human resources and recruitment. The successful candidate will have strong administrative and organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks in a digital work environment. You will be a proactive team member who can provide professional support to hiring managers, candidates and new starters, while maintaining accurate records and ensuring recruitment and onboarding processes are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to build positive working relationships will be essential in supporting the People & Culture team to deliver effective recruitment and workforce initiatives.
Suitably qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
You will bring strong administrative and organisational skills, supported by a Certificate III or IV in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. With a keen eye for detail and the ability to work confidently in digital systems such as HR or recruitment platforms, you will demonstrate accuracy in data entry and maintaining high-quality records. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to provide professional support to hiring managers, candidates and colleagues while building positive working relationships. You are well organised, able to prioritise competing tasks, follow structured processes and handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Experience supporting recruitment or onboarding activities, assisting users with digital systems, and knowledge of Local Government or HR environments will be highly regarded.
Must Have: Acurrent National Police Clearance, issued within the last six (6) months, is an essential requirement for this position.
