Job Description
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and discreet Executive Assistant who can provide high‑level executive and administrative support to the Directors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional time‑management, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, handle sensitive information with confidentiality, and maintain professional relationships across the organisation and with external stakeholders. They will be capable of supporting strategic and operational objectives, contributing to continuous improvement, and ensuring smooth information flow, governance compliance, and high‑quality executive support within a fast‑paced local government environment.
You will bring demonstrated experience in delivering high‑level administrative and executive support to senior leaders, with a strong track record of managing sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism. You have highly developed organisational skills, enabling you to prioritise competing demands, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities while working both independently and collaboratively. You exercise sound judgement, proactively resolve issues, and contribute to practical solutions and continuous improvement. With excellent attention to detail, you can interpret and apply legislation, policies, and procedures, prepare accurate contracts, tenders, reports, and correspondence, and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders using tact and diplomacy. You also bring sound knowledge of protocols for organising and delivering official ceremonies, functions, and receptions, along with the flexibility to work extended or after‑hours as required to support meetings, events, and Council activities.
