Job Description
What We Are Looking For:
We are seeking a dedicated and community-focused individual to join the Alice Springs Public Library team. In this role, you will support the delivery of high-quality outreach programs that promote literacy, lifelong learning, arts, culture, and local heritage, while providing exceptional customer service to all library users. You will assist with library events, maintain collections, and work collaboratively with library management and volunteers to continuously improve programs. The ideal candidate is professional, approachable, and committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and engaging environment for the Alice Springs community.

What You Will Bring:
You will bring a passion for delivering outstanding customer service and a proven ability to engage with a diverse community. Skilled in supporting customers with software and digital devices, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet, you can confidently guide and assist others. You have hands-on experience delivering literacy and lifelong learning programs, coupled with strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills. Holding a current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and a C Class NT driver licence, you are ready to make a positive impact by supporting the library’s outreach programs and fostering an inclusive, engaging, and educational environment for the Alice Springs community.
Must Have: Current Working with Children Clearance (Ochre card), Current National Criminal History Check.
Please note:Acurrent National Police Clearance, issued within the last six (6) months, is an essential requirement for this position.
