Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Mini Sweeper driver who carries out street sweeping and footpath scrubbing as well as a range of general maintenance activities

The responsibilities are sweeping bicycle tracks and footpaths, scrubbing footpaths, connecting and disconnecting cleaning attachments, and safely operating and maintaining a mini street sweeper and 6-tonne truck.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we would like you to bring to the team

  • Ability to safely operate and maintain mini street sweeper and a 6 tonne truck
  • Ability to perform general vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to undertake street cleaning, litter maintenance, cleaning out of side entry pits and spills
  • Ability to work unsupervised, follow instructions, keep good work records and report any issues to Supervisor
  • Ability to do physical work in a safe manner as part of a team.
  • Ability to be respectful to the general public and other Council employees
  • Current NT MR Class Licence or equivalent
  • Ability to work on a 7 day rotating roster
