Job Description
What we are looking for :
As an Animal Attendant, you’ll take an active role in making a real difference — providing daily care and comfort to animals in need while helping create a safe, welcoming environment for our community. From feeding and cleaning to supporting veterinary care, you’ll be at the heart of our mission: protecting animal welfare and delivering compassionate service every day.

Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring :
We’re looking for someone with experience in animal care and management, or the ability to quickly pick up new skills in this area. You’ll have a strong commitment to following policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective work practices, while using sound judgement to identify potential hazards. Excellent customer service skills are essential, as you’ll regularly interact with members of the public. Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly are also required, along with the flexibility to work across a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
Must Have: Current National Criminal History Check; Working with Children clearance (Ochre Card); Demonstrate the willingness and ability to work weekends and public holidays, perform manual outdoor tasks in varying conditions, and safely handle large or aggressive animals.
Please note: A current National Police Clearance, issued within the last six (6) months, is an essential requirement for this position. Applicants must obtain this at their own expense, as reimbursement will not be provided.
