What We Are Looking For
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Governance Officer who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving good governance across the organisation. This role is ideal for someone with strong coordination, research, and communication skills, who can confidently support policy development, compliance monitoring, and strategic planning. You’ll play a key role in ensuring Council’s decisions and operations meet legislative requirements and community expectations, while contributing to continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability. Desired Skills and Experience
What You Will Bring:
You bring extensive experience in governance, policy, risk, and compliance, with a strong ability to interpret legislation and apply frameworks that enhance organisational accountability. Known for your discretion and professionalism, you handle sensitive information with integrity. Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allow you to deliver clear, tailored insights across diverse audiences. Highly organised and analytical, you manage competing priorities effectively and provide strategic, evidence-based advice. You also excel at building strong stakeholder relationships and are proficient in using Microsoft Office and digital systems to support efficient reporting and record management.
Must Have: Current National Criminal History Check
