Job Description
What We Are Looking For:
We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on team member to keep the Alice Springs Aquatic & Leisure Centre (ASALC) and Adventure Park safe, clean, and welcoming for the community. In this role, you’ll take pride in maintaining all areas of the facility—from toilets, change rooms, and offices to grounds, gardens, and playgrounds—ensuring everything is hygienic, presentable, and in top condition. You’ll perform daily cleaning, minor maintenance, graffiti removal, and support community events, making sure high-touch surfaces are sanitised and ready for use. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and passionate about creating a positive, safe, and enjoyable environment for every visitor.
Applications will remain open until the successful applicant is found; however, if the position is not filled earlier, the closing date will be 4 November 2025.
Desired Skills and Experience
What You Will Bring:
You will bring a proactive, hands-on approach and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. With proven experience in general cleaning and maintenance, you understand the safe use of chemicals and follow workplace health and safety requirements rigorously. You are reliable, able to work independently or as part of a team, and can adapt to physical work in all weather conditions, including weekends or outside ordinary hours. You hold current First Aid and CPR certification, a Chemical SMART TRAIN certificate, a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card), and a valid C Class NT driver licence, equipping you to perform your duties safely and professionally while contributing positively to the community.
Must Have: Current National Criminal History Check. First Aid certificate, Chemical SMART TRAIN certificate
Please note: A current National Police Clearance, issued within the last six (6) months, is an essential requirement for this position. Applicants must obtain this at their own expense, as reimbursement will not be provided.
