Job Description
What we are looking for:
We’re seeking a dedicated and customer-focused professional to join our team in managing hazardous waste operations and supporting sustainable waste services for our community. In this role, you’ll take pride in delivering exceptional customer service at both the Transfer Station and Rediscovery Centre while ensuring the safe collection, handling, and storage of hazardous materials. You’ll maintain accurate records, monitor chemical data, and uphold the highest safety and environmental standards. This position also involves assisting with recycling initiatives, inspecting loads in coordination with the weighbridge, and processing customer payments with accuracy and professionalism. Desired Skills and Experience
What you will bring:
You will bring strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to effectively manage activities within the hazardous waste compound while maintaining safety and compliance. You have a solid understanding of WHS requirements, provide excellent customer service, and work well both independently and as part of a team. Physically capable and safety-conscious, you can perform manual tasks responsibly. You hold a current LR licence (NT), a forklift licence, and a Smart Train Chemical Training Certificate or are willing to obtain one. You’re also confident using computers and cash registers, with the ability to quickly learn the weighbridge program.
Must Have: Current National Criminal History Check, Current LR license to be able to drive in the NT, Current Forklift license
