Job Description
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for an experienced, technically capable, and well‑organised professional to support the efficient daily operations of the Works Depot under the direction of the Manager Works. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage depot crews, resources, and work requests while ensuring priorities are met and information flows smoothly. You will bring a practical, detail‑focused approach to coordinating work orders, inventory and stock movements, administrative records, and payroll support, while maintaining compliance with procedures and budget requirements. This role suits someone who can foster positive working relationships, contribute to safe and compliant depot operations, and provide reliable, hands‑on operational support across a busy and diverse works environment.
You will bring demonstrated leadership experience in a similar environment, supported by strong administrative capability and a proven ability to meet budgets and deadlines. You have extensive experience managing diverse and demanding workloads, confidently balancing competing priorities while maintaining high standards and operational efficiency. You possess solid expertise in budget and procurement management, complemented by strong technical skills and the flexibility to adapt to a wide range of work scenarios. With excellent communication and advocacy skills, you are effective in engaging community stakeholders, colleagues, and elected members. You also bring experience leading positive change within organisations, achieving measurable outcomes, and are proficient in MS Office, Outlook, and core IT systems to support effective service delivery.
