We are looking for a truck driver to join our team of drivers and operators, responsible for road rolling, general maintenance, upkeep, and repair work in the municipality of Alice Springs.
Your responsibilities will include Competently operate 20 tonne roller and other utilities up to 16 tonnes, rolling roads, streets, parking areas and car parks. Comply with correct start-up, operating and shut-down procedures, undertake repair work, carting, loading and delivery operations related to road construction and maintenance and other Council operations. Including the maintenance and upkeep of drains, waterways and street cleaning, assess work and select appropriate plant, machinery, equipment and tools to ensure safe and efficient operation to complete job tasks.
Desired Skills and Experience
What we would like you to bring to the team
Knowledge and ability to operate plant, machinery and equipment related to the position.
Current HR driver licence and ability to select and operate machinery in accordance with work requirement.
Effectively assist with construction and maintenance of roads, concrete structures and traffic control around various worksites.
Ability to safely do physical work, outdoors in all weather. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the WHS requirements of the position.
Ability to be respectful to the general public and other Council employees.
NT Work Zone Traffic Management - RIIWHS205D & RIIWHS302D (or current equivalent) orability to obtain.
NT Construction Industry Induction (White Card).
Current Provide First Aid (minimum) or ability to obtain.
